Designing the City Seminar
Jeffrey has been teaching the core urban design seminar for the Syracuse University School of Architecture NYC-based program since its inception in 2014. Using NYC as its laboratory, this seminar explores the role of design, and in particular, the unique role of the designer, in drawing out creative solutions to a variety of urban challenges. Participants hear firsthand from the many stakeholders involved in shaping the city, with sometimes complementary, but oftentimes competing, interests. The seminar explores the tools, processes and players involved in designing one of the world’s great cities.
