Downtown Revitalization Initiative
Urbanscape supported the Village of Ossining’s successful submission for a 2021 New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) by envisioning a possible future for Main Street. The village received a $10M grant to invest in Main Street streetscape improvements and mixed-use development, to encourage a more walkable and vibrant downtown.
“These compact, walkable downtowns are a key ingredient to helping New York State rebuild its economy from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to achieving the State’s bold climate goals by promoting the use of public transit and reducing dependence on private vehicles.” NYS DRI
